Fashion Photography

Fashion Photography is a passion for Katherine Calnan. Katherine is a Fashion, Portrait and Commercial Photographer in Calgary Alberta and recently she had a fashion photo shoot at Voltage Garage.

Idea behind the shoot

One of the highlights of the session was to be able to collaborate with and integrate artwork by renowned Calgary artist Megan Jentsch as a backdrop for the images.

We happened to be visiting Voltage Creative Garage and saw a huge brand new piece of artwork that Megan had just completed. There are times when you see something and it stops you in your tracks and for us this piece of work was one of those moments.

Lovers of art can see Megan’s work in places such as Air Canada, Holt Renfrew, ATB Financial and Le Germain Hotel to name just a few. Where did this fashion shoot take place

Voltage Garage in Marda Loop Calgary was the location of the fashion photography shoot. Voltage houses amazingly talented people creating magic daily in this place and if you are an artist they may have some creative space for you also so give them a call at their details below.

Photography and video

The principal photographer on this shoot was Katherine Calnan and her photography assistant for the session was Jordani. Video was filmed by Danai Augustine and edited by Simon Calnan.

Who were the models and who are they managed by

The talented fashion models on the night and they are managed by Numa Models. In order of appearance they are Daniel Rosendorff, Mackenzie Kerr and Courtney Bartosek.

The makeup artists

The two very talented makeup artists on set were Manuelita Remy and Sam Obrigewitsch. Due to the nature of fashion photography we meet lots of makeup artists and are lucky to have worked with both Manuelita and Sam a number of times and they produce fantastic work are very reliable and and we always recommend them.
